Harrisburg, PA. Barbara Tabak CID, WFCP, Decorating Den Interiors of the Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg and Camp Hill had one of her designs featured in Arabella magazine, a leading art, architecture & design magazine with distribution all over North America. Arabella magazine showcased Tabak’s 1st place kitchen design on a two-page spread of the magazine.
Tabak’s kitchen design is traditional in styling but with a contemporary vibe. “The room’s off-white cabinets, black granite and tiles sets the background for the tomato red island that is so distinctive to this kitchen” said Tabak. Beside the bold color choice for the island, Tabak’s out-of-the-box design skills solved a decorating dilemma for the client. Due to budget restraints, the old-fashioned soffit could not be removed, so the challenge was addressed by playing a little trick—door facades were affixed to the soffit face. Now it appears that the cabinets reach to the ceiling!
